(Entrants must present receipt - No items will be released early)


General Rules and Regulations
 

1.

Competition is open to all residents of Grayson County and adjoining Texoma area counties.

2.

All articles for competition must be entered by one individual and must be the work of the exhibitor, unless otherwise noted.

3.

An exhibitor may enter as many classes as desired.

4.

Superintendent reserve the right to create additional categories if entries warrant, except in Premium Food Preservation Awards.

5.

Exhibits must be delivered and pick up at the specified times only, and must remain on display for the duration of the Fair.

6.

Identification cards will be assigned and receipts given for each entry. Exhibitors must present their receipts to pick up their entries.

7.

Exhibits must be picked up by presenting receipt from 5 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, October 11, 2009.

8.

First place (blue) Second Place (red), and Third Place (white) ribbons will be awarded based on quality merit.

9.

Best of Show rosette will be chosen from the First Place winners in each division.

10.

By entering the Grayson County Fair Creative Arts exhibition, you acknowledge that the Fair Board and building superintendents are not responsible for items that are lost, stolen or broken.  Every effort is made to protect all exhibits, but tables get bumped and there are lots of visitors throughout the fair who want the best possible view of the exhibits.

 



Superintendent Responsibilities

1.

All supervision and coordination of assigned category.

2.

Recruit and supervise volunteers for assigned category.

3.

Recruit judges and supervise judging of assigned category.

4.

Supervise the check-in and check-out entries at specified times.

5.

Organize and display all entries to make judging as easy as possible.

6.

Upon completion of Judging, place appropriate ribbons on all entries.

7.

Contact all winners after judging has been completed.

8.

Assist in recruiting volunteers to help provide security.

9.

Provide to the Fair Board a list of necessary items or materials needed for your category by September 30, 2009.
